VICPOP IA modification package

WPF were engaged by our client for the end-to-end project management of the VICPOP Air Modification package. Due to a flaw being identified in the initial design for this project, WPF assisted with the new design for IA shed, resulting in a custom build. WPF fabricated the shed, supports, compressor bases, all piping and pipe supports.All material was supplied and procured by WPF, inclusive of cyclone rated roller doors, whirly birds & louvers. All NDT, hydrotesting and surface treatment for all parts was completed in-house at our Perth workshop.
Our site team was walked through each section of the assembly to prepare them for installation and commissioning on Varanus Island. The site team then successfully executed the required installation and commissioning. A highlight of this project was the elimination of any final fit welds by the team completing all tie-ins in Perth.
- Engineering assessments and reporting on various equipment
- Piping & structural materials procurement for workshop fabrication & on-site repairs and modifications
- Fabrication, testing and coating of the IA compressor shed & pipe supports
- Fabrication, testing and coating of all IA compressor pipe spooling
- Fabrication of compressor exhausts and telescopic ducting
- 3B Survey and scanning of skids, supports and relative piping
- Supply & fit out of all ex rated E&I components, including SIT of instrument air compressor shed
- Modification of free issued pipe spooling & skids
- Project management & assistance throughout project duration
- On-site installation, tie-ins and repairs
- Supply of NDT services
- QA-QC documentation including MDR’s for site repairs / works completed
