Overview
WPF have been engaged to support Phase 1 of a decommissioning campaign by carrying out preparatory “make safe” activities on offshore platforms and related infrastructure. This critical first phase involves securing and stabilising the platform, making it safe for future decommissioning operations. Our role includes isolating systems, de-energising equipment, ensuring structural integrity, and mitigating potential hazards to prepare the site for further dismantling and removal processes in subsequent phases.
Ongoing support for the campaign is provided by WPF.
Technical details/scope
- Project management and engineering support
- Attend hazard workshops and work with client to develop specific documentation and remediation plans
- Remediate deficiencies in platforms identified in the Improvement Notice Survey report provided by client
- Re‐establish safe access and egress of personnel to, from and while on each of the platforms
- Remove redundant infrastructure to reduce the weight on the top-side of the asset to enable it to be lifted with a crane (allowing access for plug & abandonment team to mobilise)
- Continuous workshop support to fabricate items required to complete the make safe program
- Provided services include but are not limited to; Rigging, Scaffolding, Boilermakers, Rope Access and NDT Technicians
