Apprenticeships at WPF
At WPF, we offer apprenticeships through TAFE to gain an Engineering- Fabrication Trade.
The engineering – fabrication trade course will teach you how to safely manipulate metal and create objects using a variety of welding techniques, thermal cutting, workshop machines, and hand and power tools. You will gain the skills and knowledge to create and work with metal fabrications, using workshop tools and equipment, developing various welding techniques.
Upon completion of this course you will be looking at a trade career as a boilermaker, welder, or fabricator in the industries we support, such as energy, mining or construction.
We aim to encourage and set up our apprentices to become multi-disciplined, providing you with enhanced opportunities and skill sets to become industry-ready.
